
Joffre Lakes
Joffre Lakes is one of BC’s most iconic day hikes, famous for its three stunning turquoise glacial lakes, dramatic alpine scenery, and the backdrop of Matier Glacier. The trail ascends steadily through old-growth forest and rocky terrain, rewarding hikers with increasingly breathtaking views.

What to expect:
Begin with a stop at the peaceful Lower Joffre Lake then ascend uphill to the beautiful Middle Joffre Lake with fantastic photo opportunities, and a bench for a well-deserved break. From there, continue along past a waterfall to the stunning Upper Joffre Lake, where you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the Matier Glacier, surrounding mountains, and waterfalls cascading off the mountains.
Your experienced hiking guide will provide instructions and a briefing before setting off.
Good mobility is required for this trip. It is beginner friendly and suitable for those with no hiking experience, however you do need to have good footing and be able to walk up rocky steps and over roots and rocks.
